Fenglin Zhang is Professor of Economics in the School of Economics, and Director of Center for Employment and Human Capital Development Research, DUFE. His research focuses on the Capital Controversies, human capital theory, skilled labor shortage in Chinese enterprises, the rationale of payment arrangement, internal labor market, and unemployment and reemployment during the economic transition of China. He once went to Japan, Italy, Russia, U.K. and USA for visiting study and academic research. Prior to joining DUFE, he spent over 10 years at the School of Economics and Management, Liaoning University.
Professor Zhang’s FIID project focuses on how China’s large state-owned enterprises engage in innovation and upgrading, based on case studies of SOEs in northeastern China.
